We walked to the metro this morning. Me, heading to work. He, heading home for a little more nap time before going off to work himself.
A quick good-bye kiss, before I board my train.
"Please don't sit in the first car," he says as he leans in close. "Go sit in the middle."
"I love you too," would be my response if I wasn't frozen at the reminder of the accident. The pictures. They paralyze you.
We are all shaken.
We all feel a little less invincible.
It's a sobering truth that things could change in a second.
In less than a heartbeat.
Let's pray that something good comes out of this tragedy.

So sad. So scary.
MB .. my thoughts and prayers are with those families up there .. and also with the daily commuters who are now have stained memories of this tragedy.
KtMac- Agreed
Headbitingprincess- Absolutely. I'm so thankful that anyone I know who takes the train in that direction is safe and accounted for. I'm hoping others find this peace of mind as well- sooner than later.
